Marvellous chandeliers

I absolutely love chandeliers – they’re beautiful, functional, enchanting and romantic. They twinkle, sparkle, reflect sunshine and light and in my opinion work well in any room in the house as well as outside on a terrace or even hanging from trees for a magical garden party.

Needless to say I own a fair few! From fleamarket finds and surprise discoveries in dimly lit, unhopeful looking, junk shops to the more bona fide French brocante, auction rooms, and specialist shop variety. I love them in situ in homes, churches, stately & municipal buildings – the lot.

Given chandeliers are a recurring source of delight in my world, I expect they may pop up from time to time on my blog – as such I’ve also created a specific Pinterest board here: Chandeliers.

If you know of any amazing antique chandelier shops or have yourself found a beautiful chandelier in a surprising place – I’d love to hear from you.

There will no doubt be more pics in Mooi too.
